Negli standard delle nostre condizioni, il nuovo (surplus) sta per gli articoli originariamente emessi al personale militare ma non erano prima utilizzati.
Nella maggior parte dei casi, i militari emettono oggetti di riserva per tutto ciò che possono, nel caso in cui i soldati debbano cambiare i loro pezzi o abbigliamento smarriti o danneggiati. Dopo 2-4 anni (a seconda del paese) dopo aver emesso attrezzature al personale, i militari li cambia in nuovi per rinnovare le attrezzature per il personale principale e di riserva, anche se quelli di riserva non erano affatto usati, quindi è così che gli oggetti di qualità militare non utilizzati arrivano nel nostro magazzino.
